Accounts Receivable & Collections Lead - Bilingual

About the role

The Accounts Receivable & Collections Lead is a detail‑oriented finance professional responsible for managing the school’s billing, collections and reconciliation processes, particularly for student and parent accounts. The role works closely with senior finance staff and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and continuous improvement of receivables operations.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full accounts receivable cycle: billing, receipt allocation, collections, ageing follow‑up, escalation and reconciliation of outstanding balances.
• Reconcile parent and customer accounts, deposits, payment gateways and provide supporting schedules for month‑end reporting.
• Manage payment plans, credit notes and refunds with proper documentation and authorisation.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding account balances, statements and overdue payments.
• Prepare AR ageing, collections, doubtful debt and write‑off reports for senior finance review.
• Support admissions, HR and other teams with queries on student accounts and receivables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in accounts receivable, billing and collections within a school environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and familiarity with international school accreditation frameworks (IB, ACSI, NAIS) is an advantage.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Arabic.
• Ability to handle confidential financial and student information with discretion.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems such as QuickBooks, SAP or Oracle.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial reporting and analysis.
