Advanced Field Service Engineer – O&G Metering Specialist

About the role

The Advanced Field Service Engineer provides on‑site technical support, installation, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting for complex oil‑and‑gas metering equipment. You will act as an escalation point, drive continuous improvement, and work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure reliable operation of critical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site support including installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly to minimise downtime.
• Interact with customers to understand requirements, answer queries and deliver training.
• Maintain accurate service records, reports and equipment status updates.
• Develop and execute preventive‑maintenance schedules.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales and support teams to deliver comprehensive service.
• Provide feedback for product improvement and stay updated on industry trends.
• Follow safety policies, regulatory guidelines and company procedures.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field (diploma may be considered).
• Proven experience in field service engineering, especially with custody transfer, tank inventory management and gas flow metering systems.
• Strong technical knowledge of complex machinery and field instrumentation.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Customer‑focused mindset with ability to build strong relationships.
• Self‑motivated, organized and able to work independently.
• Willingness to travel extensively, often on short notice.
