Aircraft Ground Equipment (AGE) Mechanic

About the role

Boeing Global Service is looking for an experienced Aircraft Ground Equipment (AGE) Mechanic to join the maintenance team at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. You will ensure that all ground support equipment and vehicle fleet are safe, reliable, and ready to support fighter aircraft operations.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain AGE equipment and vehicles, including tow tractors, power carts, air‑conditioning units, jacks, and trailers.
• Perform diagnostic tests on pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems and isolate faults.
• Lead assembly, disassembly, modification, and overhaul of equipment, configure assets, and conduct bench‑testing.
• Oversee validation and verification testing, document repairs, test results, and compliance records.
• Supervise and mentor junior technicians, provide training, and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with other maintenance disciplines to support overall aircraft readiness.

Required profile

• Strong technical background with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Experience working on a variety of vehicles, including vans, F‑250s, and specialized military vehicles.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
• Focus on safety, quality, and compliance while working under general supervision.

Required skills

• Pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical system troubleshooting.
• Use of diagnostic equipment and test stands.
• Maintenance of ground support equipment (tow tractors, power carts, AC units, jacks, trailers).
• Interpretation of technical manuals and schematics.
• Leadership and mentoring of technical staff.
