Aircrew Flight Equipment Technician (AFE) – Life Support Equipment

About the role

Boeing is seeking Aircrew Flight Equipment Technicians (AFE) specialized in Life Support Equipment to support maintenance operations at Al Udeid Air Force Base in Qatar. The role involves ensuring that all aircrew equipment is safe, functional, and ready for mission requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair aircrew flight equipment such as survival gear, helmets, oxygen masks, harnesses, parachutes, anti‑G suits and communication systems.
• Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics and repairs to restore equipment to operational condition, including complete overhauls and component replacements.
• Conduct routine inspections and functional tests, using technical publications and specialized support equipment.
• Fabricate and modify equipment according to technical specifications and provide training to aircrew on proper use and emergency procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year experience with aircrew flight equipment systems.
• Willingness to work variable shifts, including weekends, overtime and possible rotating schedules.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance and meet export‑control requirements.
• Eligibility for visa sponsorship and relocation to Al Udeid, Qatar.
