Apache Mechanical Technician – Avionics (AH-64E)

About the role

Boeing Global Services is seeking experienced Apache Mechanical Technicians specialized in avionics to support the AH-64E Qatar Air Force Maintenance Augmentation Team at Al Udeid Air Base. The role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex aircraft systems to ensure mission‑ready helicopters.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on AH-64E electrical, avionics, armament, fire‑control, radar, visionics, and ASE systems using QAF‑specific manuals and IETM.
• Diagnose and repair solid‑state and transistorized components, conduct operational checks, and align weapons and sensor packages.
• Handle ammunition, load/unload weapon systems, and configure fire‑control subsystems.
• Maintain and calibrate precision measuring tools, alignment fixtures, test sets, and diagnostic equipment.
• Support QAF in requisition and stock management of shop and bench items.
• Prepare aircraft for inspections, complete maintenance records, and provide on‑the‑job training to QAF personnel.
• Travel on short notice domestically and internationally as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience with AH‑64D/E electrical, avionics, armament, fire‑control, or ASE systems.
• Ability to work 100 % onsite at Al Udeid Air Base and travel as needed.
• Strong knowledge of technical manuals, safety procedures, and aircraft ground support equipment.
