Application Engineer – DX & VRV

About the role

Daikin Middle East & Africa is seeking an Application Engineer specialized in DX and VRV systems to support its sales organization in Qatar. You will ensure that HVAC solutions are technically sound, optimized, and commercially competitive throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Provide application engineering support from inquiry to order confirmation.
• Design, size, and select DX, VRV and AHU equipment using Daikin selection software and other approved tools.
• Review specifications, tender documents and HVAC drawings to develop compliant, energy‑efficient solutions.
• Prepare technical submittals, equipment schedules, selection reports and related documentation.
• Offer value‑engineering recommendations to improve performance and cost‑effectiveness.
• Coordinate with product management, sales, factory engineering and other internal teams to resolve technical queries.
• Support quotation preparation with accurate technical selections and engineering calculations.
• Participate in technical meetings with consultants, customers and contractors.

Required profile

• Strong background in HVAC system design and equipment selection.
• Good understanding of local regulations and industry standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting technical solutions.
