Arabic / Islamic Studies Teacher (Native & Non-Native Speakers)

About the role

GEMS American Academy in Qatar is seeking a dedicated Arabic and Islamic Studies Teacher to join its secondary/high school team. The role involves delivering curriculum to both native and non‑native speakers, fostering a love of learning and cultural awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the Arabic and Islamic Studies curriculum with up‑to‑date subject knowledge.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
• Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, assessments, attendance and resources.
• Assess, record and report on student progress, adapting instruction to meet individual needs.
• Utilise media and technology effectively in the classroom.
• Promote student well‑being, discipline and cultural understanding.
• Communicate regularly with parents and external stakeholders, including Ministry of Education officials.
• Participate in CPD, appraisal processes and school committees.
• Contribute to co‑curricular and extra‑curricular activities and school events.
