Area Supervisor

About the role

The Area Supervisor will lead the Soft Services team to deliver the highest level of cleanliness across the airport, ensuring compliance with FMM standards and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of custodian staff and operational team leaders, overseeing a zone with 200‑300 employees.
• Conduct regular inspections to assess cleanliness levels and implement corrective actions.
• Manage inventory, purchasing, and cost control for cleaning supplies, machines, and equipment.
• Schedule and oversee rotational and special cleaning programmes throughout the airport.
• Identify problem areas, develop solutions, and strive to prevent accidents within the department.
• Maintain safe working conditions and ensure compliance with company policies and airport regulations.
• Provide training to staff on cleaning procedures and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with managers and stakeholders to report issues and performance.

Required profile

• Diploma or Associate Degree in Business Management, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Housekeeping or Building Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Professional certifications such as BICSc, FIGR or ISSA are preferred.
