Assembly Assistant II – Inflight Catering

About the role

The Assembly Assistant II supports the Team Leader in preparing and managing in‑flight meal trays for First, Business and Economy class on Qatar Airways and partner flights. The role ensures compliance with airline specifications, HACCP standards and safe handling of equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Set up FC, JC and YC trays according to airline specifications and flight schedules.
• Pick up meals, arrange them in assembly chillers by expiry date, and generate wastage reports.
• Handle customer equipment safely and report any irregularities.
• Assist in resource allocation to minimise waste.
• Perform additional duties as directed by the Head of Department.

Required profile

• Basic literacy, numeracy and English communication skills.
• Entry‑level candidates; no prior job‑related experience required.
• Ability to follow detailed specifications and safety procedures.

Required skills

• Food Safety knowledge (HACCP).
• Manual Handling training.
• Understanding of Airline Catering processes.
• Familiarity with Galley Loading Plans (GLP).
• Knowledge of meal uplift patterns.
• Completion of Flight Catering Security training.
