Assistant Director of Sales

About the role

The Assistant Director of Sales will support the Director of Sales & Marketing in driving revenue for La Cigale Hotel, a five‑star property in central Doha. This senior sales role focuses on building long‑term, value‑based relationships with corporate, leisure and group clients while leading a dedicated sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the DOSM in all sales activities and help shape the hotel’s sales strategy.
• Lead, coach and monitor the daily performance of the sales team to achieve property sales objectives.
• Identify and solicit group and individual business opportunities across travel agencies, tour operators, convention companies and transportation partners.
• Develop and manage profitable, cost‑effective sales programmes and campaigns.
• Monitor competitor rates, market offers and emerging trends to keep the hotel competitive.
• Maintain consistent verbal and written communication with clients and partners.
• Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events and industry organisations.
• Prepare the annual sales budget, forecast and regularly track results against targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel or hospitality sales, preferably at a senior level.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a sales team.
• Excellent relationship‑building and negotiation abilities.
• Analytical mindset to interpret market data and adjust strategies.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
