Assistant Reservations Manager

About the role

The Assistant Reservations Manager will oversee daily reservation operations at Kempinski Doha, acting as the operational extension of the Director of Revenue Management. You will lead a team of reservation agents, manage inventory and booking flows, and execute yield and pricing strategies to maximise revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coach reservation agents, manage shift schedules and daily workflows.
• Handle escalated guest inquiries, VIP and group bookings, ensuring high service standards.
• Implement daily rate changes, yield strategies, MinLOS, CTA/CTD controls across PMS, CRS and OTA platforms.
• Monitor inventory, room availability and over‑booking thresholds to protect revenue.
• Conduct rate‑parity checks on OTAs and metasearch channels, correcting discrepancies promptly.
• Administer group blocks, cut‑off dates, deposits and billing in coordination with Sales.
• Maintain accurate data entry, market segmentation, origin coding and commission structures.
• Prepare daily pickup, pace, denial and conversion reports for revenue meetings.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business or related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in hotel reservations or front‑desk, with at least 1‑2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work closely with revenue management teams.

Required skills

• Property Management Systems (e.g., Opera PMS, Cloudbeds, Mews).
• Central Reservation Systems and Channel Managers (SiteMinder, RateGain).
• OTA extranets such as Expedia Partner Central and Booking.com Partner Hub.
• GDS processes.
• Intermediate‑to‑advanced Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for reporting.
