About the role
The Assistant School Counselor supports the school counselor in promoting students’ academic, social, emotional, and personal development across the school’s two campuses in Qatar.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day individual and small‑group student support and conduct regular check‑ins.
- Assist with individual and group counseling activities and identify students who may need additional help.
- Help implement wellbeing and social‑emotional learning programs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school leadership to address student needs and promote a safe, inclusive environment.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years experience as a counselor in an educational setting.
- Excellent listening and communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships.
- Demonstrated empathy, professionalism, cultural awareness and sound judgment.
- Bachelor’s degree in counselling, psychology or equivalent.
