Assistant Vice President – Asset Management Middle Office

About the role

The Assistant Vice President, Asset Management Middle Office will calculate, analyse and report portfolio performance and risk metrics for QNB Asset Management’s investment products. The role supports investment teams by preparing client performance reports, benchmark comparisons, attribution and transaction cost analysis while ensuring compliance with standards such as GIPS.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate portfolio performance and risk across asset classes and benchmark against strategic targets.
• Conduct performance and risk attribution analysis, identifying contributions from asset allocation, security selection, currency and style factors.
• Build customized client reports and generate risk‑adjusted return metrics (e.g., Sharpe ratio, alpha, beta, tracking error, volatility).
• Analyse fund expenses, transaction costs and fees to support transparency and cost benchmarking.
• Collaborate with investment managers to optimise fund structures based on historical performance trends.
• Maintain and improve performance measurement tools, templates and data pipelines.
• Prepare composite performance summaries in line with GIPS reporting standards.
• Contribute to automation, quality control and KPI implementation for recurring client and internal reports.
• Promote cost consciousness, efficiency and productivity within the middle‑office function.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in asset management middle‑office, performance measurement or risk analysis.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret quantitative performance data.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as GIPS.

Required skills
