Assistant/Associate Professor – Occupational Health & Safety

About the role

The College of Health Sciences at UDST seeks an Assistant or Associate Professor to lead teaching and research in Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment. The successful candidate will join a vibrant, student‑centered university committed to applied learning and Qatar’s National Vision 2030.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deliver, and evaluate a broad range of undergraduate and graduate courses in Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment.
• Assess student progress, manage learning resources, and maintain accreditation documentation.
• Liaise with industry partners and educational institutions, participate in advisory committees, and coordinate program‑related projects.
• Contribute to professional and community activities within and beyond the university.

Required profile

• PhD in Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment (or related field with a master’s/bachelor’s in the discipline).
• Professional licensure and current registration with a recognized OHS body (e.g., IOSH, CRSP, CSP, NEBOSH).
• Minimum five years of relevant professional experience and demonstrated teaching ability at the post‑secondary level.
• Proven expertise in curriculum development and use of diverse instructional technologies.

Required skills

• IOSH, CRSP, CSP, or NEBOSH certification.
• Proficiency with educational technology platforms and digital learning tools.
• Strong digital literacy for creating technology‑enriched learning environments.
