Audit & Assurance Manager – Qatar

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an experienced Audit & Assurance Manager to join its Doha office. In this role you will lead audit engagements, ensure high‑quality delivery, and build trust with multiple stakeholders while applying professional scepticism to complex audit issues.

Key responsibilities

• Review documentation of transaction flows and test relevant controls early in the audit cycle.
• Suggest mitigating testing when controls are ineffective, without always consulting senior managers.
• Apply professional scepticism to assess fraud risks and potential misstatements.
• Identify opportunities to add value by leveraging expertise across the firm and integrating specialists.
• Participate in group risk assessment and prepare referral instructions for component auditors.
• Maintain file checks throughout the audit, ensuring all points are cleared and appropriate file structures are used.
• Engage early with the extended engagement team, communicating expectations, responsibilities, and deadlines.

Required profile

• Manager‑level experience in audit or assurance engagements.
• Strong ability to build credibility with stakeholders and provide constructive challenge.
• Demonstrated professional scepticism and understanding of fraud risk considerations.
• Capability to coordinate with component auditors and manage group audit scopes.
• Excellent communication skills for setting expectations and delivering feedback.
