Automation Center of Excellence Manager

About the role

The Automation Center of Excellence Manager will drive enterprise‑wide automation initiatives to boost operational efficiency, streamline workflows and enhance employee experience. Reporting to the Technology Unit, the role blends technical oversight, people leadership and vendor coordination to deliver scalable, sustainable automation solutions across Ooredoo Qatar.

Key responsibilities

• Define and champion the automation vision and roadmap aligned with organisational goals.
• Influence senior stakeholders to adopt automation as a core transformation enabler.
• Lead change‑management efforts for successful adoption of digital workflows and platforms.
• Inspire and guide a team of automation specialists, setting performance objectives and supporting career development.
• Oversee design, development and deployment of automated workflows across business functions.
• Establish governance frameworks ensuring compliance, security and operational integrity.
• Monitor performance metrics and continuously optimise automation assets.
• Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring delivery quality and SLA adherence.
• Collaborate with IT, HR, Finance and Operations to align automation with enterprise architecture and data‑governance standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Telecom, Computer & Communications, or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in similar automation or digital‑transformation roles, including 5+ years in IT or telecom.
• Proven ability to lead teams, drive innovation and engage senior stakeholders.
