AV Supervisor – Luxury Hotel

About the role

As an AV Supervisor at InterContinental Doha Beach & Spa you will oversee the delivery of audio‑visual services for meetings, conferences, weddings and other hotel events. You will lead on‑site execution, ensuring equipment is set up, tested and operated to the brand’s high standards while providing seamless support to guests and event organizers.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily AV operations, coordinating setup, operation and dismantling of equipment for a variety of events.
• Review event requirements, function sheets and technical specifications to prepare AV solutions in advance.
• Conduct equipment checks and testing prior to each event to guarantee functionality.
• Operate and oversee audio systems, microphones, speakers, projectors, LED screens, displays, lighting and video equipment.
• Provide on‑site technical support, responding promptly to issues or last‑minute changes.
• Liaise with Events, Banquets and Engineering teams to ensure smooth execution and communication.
• Manage external AV suppliers and contractors, ensuring compliance with hotel standards.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, maintenance and equipment movements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an AV supervisory or senior AV role, preferably in a luxury hotel or conference venue.
• Strong practical knowledge of professional audio, video, projection, lighting and event technology.
• Proven ability to support a wide range of events, from corporate meetings to large‑scale functions.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and calm demeanor under pressure.
