Banquet Cook II – Full-time

About the role

We are looking for a Cook II specialized in banquet service to join our Food & Beverage team at The Ritz‑Carlton in Doha. The role involves preparing and presenting high‑quality dishes for banquet and buffet events while maintaining our Gold Standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare plate and platter presentations for banquets and set up action stations for buffet service.
• Carve buffet meats on request, operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers, and prepare both hot and cold foods according to recipes and quality standards.
• Portion, chop, weigh, store and handle ingredients; wash and peel fresh produce; test food doneness and monitor quality throughout preparation.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment, including washing kitchen tools, knives, equipment and workstations.
• Support the banquet team by ensuring adequate stock of all items and assisting with set‑up and break‑down of stations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant banquet or food‑service experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
