Business Development Manager – Qatar

About the role

The Business Development Manager will drive sales growth for Proserv’s topside controls business in Qatar, managing existing customer accounts and identifying new opportunities within the oil & gas and marine sectors. Reporting to the Line Manager, the role combines strategic planning, market analysis and direct client engagement to achieve revenue targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a service sales strategy together with the Sales Director and Country Manager, outlining required resources such as service engineers, rental assets and marketing initiatives.
• Maintain and update CRM and service‑sales opportunity trackers, ensuring clear target dates and actions.
• Create detailed key‑account plans for major clients, mapping relevant departments and decision‑makers.
• Conduct regular field visits to oil & gas and marine customers to generate new business and strengthen relationships.
• Prioritise sales activities, manage a high‑quality pipeline and formulate winning strategies for identified projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales or a related discipline (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
• Minimum six years of experience selling to major oil & gas end‑users, contractors or drilling companies in the region.
• Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, particularly for pressure control systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Self‑motivated, well‑organised and capable of independent as well as collaborative work.
