Business Finance Analyst – Food

About the role

As a Business Finance Analyst – Food, you will partner closely with the Business Finance Specialist and the Food General Manager to provide hands‑on financial analysis and reporting that drives commercial decisions. You will be embedded in the commercial team, turning large data sets into actionable insights and ensuring the Food P&L is accurate and transparent.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day commercial finance activities alongside the Business Finance Specialist.
• Track and maintain the Food P&L, including revenue, take‑rates and contribution margins.
• Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports, variance analysis and dashboards for commercial and finance teams.
• Ensure data accuracy across reports, models and performance metrics.
• Analyse pricing, commissions, promotions and incentives, and evaluate campaigns, partnerships and new initiatives for ROI and margin impact.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting cycles, updating models and preparing data.
• Translate complex analysis into clear summaries for internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in commercial or business finance, preferably in food delivery, e‑commerce or tech‑enabled consumer businesses.
• Strong understanding of revenue models, unit economics, take‑rate and margin dynamics.
• Ability to work in fast‑moving, ambiguous, high‑growth environments and build structure on the fly.
• Familiarity with restaurant economics, pricing and promotional mechanics.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets.
• Experience with enterprise planning tools such as TM1 or IBM Planning Analytics.
• Proficiency with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.
