Business Teacher – Pearson BTEC (IBCP)

About the role

Etqan Global Academy in Doha is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Business to deliver Pearson BTEC Business within the IB Career‑related Programme. The role involves planning, teaching and assessing applied business studies for post‑16 students in a vibrant international school environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality Business lessons aligned with Pearson BTEC specifications and IBCP learning aims.
• Design curriculum units and assessment tasks that meet Pearson quality standards.
• Support students through internally assessed assignments, guiding them on criteria and independent work habits.
• Maintain accurate assessment records and documentation in line with internal quality assurance processes.
• Collaborate with internal QA teams and engage with external standards verifiers.
• Develop students’ communication, collaboration, problem‑solving and enterprise skills through real‑world business projects.
• Contribute to the wider IB Career‑related Programme and school community activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Economics or a related field.
• Recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Business or a related subject at post‑16 level.
• Pearson BTEC training and standardisation certificate, or willingness to undertake training.
• Understanding of Pearson BTEC assessment, internal quality assurance and external verification processes.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills with a collaborative approach.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
• Eligibility to meet visa requirements for working in Qatar.
