C4I Technician

About the role

The C4I Technician maintains and troubleshoots the C4I systems installed in MRAP vehicles deployed in Qatar. Reporting to the C4I Supervisor, the role ensures equipment security, accountability, and compliance with USAF directives and ISO 9001 standards.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair MRAP C4I electronic systems, including TACOM, ISRN, CREW, and IED defeat systems.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance based on manufacturer guidance and environmental conditions.
• Maintain inventory records, perform serial number checks, and ensure secure storage of all C4I equipment.
• Coordinate with supply and vehicle mechanics to control access and protect sensitive electronics.
• Prepare vehicles and equipment for air, sea, or surface shipment.
• Attend required upgrade and refresher training and provide on‑the‑job guidance to mechanics.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree in Computer Science or IT preferred.
• Minimum 2 years field experience as a C4I Senior Electronics Technician or Supervisor.
• Valid home‑country driver’s license and ability to obtain a host‑nation license.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret clearance (US citizenship required).
• Physically capable of lifting/pushing/pulling at least 50 lb and working outdoors in extreme noise environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows operating system and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Strong knowledge of PCs, network and communications systems.
• Experience with C4I hardware, radios, and removable electronic equipment.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment.
