Cargo Pricing Specialist

About the role

The Cargo Pricing Specialist will manage cargo pricing performance across assigned markets, implementing pricing strategies, analysing market trends and identifying opportunities to maximise revenue, yield and market share for Qatar Airways Cargo.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary pricing focal point for assigned markets, trade lanes and customer segments, owning day‑to‑day pricing activities and commercial performance.
• Support the Cargo Pricing Manager in developing and executing short, medium and long‑term pricing initiatives aligned with regional commercial targets.
• Monitor booking patterns, demand trends and commercial performance indicators, implementing pricing actions through approved tools and frameworks.
• Create, test and maintain business rules in the pricing system to drive cargo pricing requirements.
• Analyse market developments, competitor activity and economic trends to identify commercial risks and opportunities.
• Manage cargo pricing and tender activities, overseeing rate strategies, pricing negotiations and RFQ coordination.
• Translate market intelligence into tactical and strategic pricing recommendations for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Aviation Management, Logistics or Supply Chain Management (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in pricing, market intelligence or commercial decision‑making, preferably in air cargo, airline, logistics or transportation.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and quantitative reasoning skills with the ability to interpret complex commercial data.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing abilities across Sales, Revenue Management and Network Planning.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
