Carpenter / General Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Carpenter/General Maintenance Technician will perform a wide range of carpentry and maintenance tasks, from fabricating and installing structures to repairing damaged wood components and other building elements. The role supports new construction, remodeling, renovation, and demolition projects while ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and modification orders to plan and execute work efficiently.
• Construct, repair, restore, and install floors, doors, windows, stairways, furniture, cabinets, and shelves.
• Build forms, frames, ceilings, and roofs using lumber, plywood, sheetrock, steel studs, foam board, and cement board.
• Fabricate items according to design specifications and reconstruct damaged wood structures to meet code requirements.
• Repair doors, roofs, ceilings, stairs, floors, windows, and roll‑up doors.
• Maintain a clean work environment and ensure compliance with OSHA, AFOSHA ES&H, and fire regulations.
• Perform additional general maintenance duties as assigned by site management.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of experience in carpentry and general maintenance.
• Journeyman or Master certified carpenter (preferred).
• Valid U.S. driver’s license; U.S. passport preferred.
• Ability to meet USCENTCOM deployment requirements and obtain a Qatar residency visa.
• Willingness to work in extreme environmental conditions and endure long hours.
• DoD Secret clearance must be held and maintained.
