Category Manager Assistant – Grocery E‑commerce (Dark Store)

About the role

Join a fast‑growing grocery e‑commerce operation and support the Category Manager in shaping product selection, pricing, promotions and inventory for a dark‑store environment. You will work cross‑functionally to ensure the right products are available at the right time, driving sales and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in executing category strategies to grow sales and improve market positioning.
• Collaborate on product selection, lifecycle management and online merchandising.
• Support supplier coordination, order placement and timely deliveries.
• Contribute to pricing and promotional campaign development.
• Monitor stock levels, work with supply‑chain teams to avoid stockouts or overstock.
• Conduct market and competitor research to identify trends and growth opportunities.
• Analyse sales data, track performance metrics and produce reports.
• Work with marketing, supply‑chain and operations to ensure seamless product availability and promotions.
• Maintain accurate product content (descriptions, images, specifications) on the e‑commerce platform.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in category management, merchandising or retail operations, preferably in grocery or e‑commerce.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
