Chief of Staff (Family Office)

About the role

The Chief of Staff will act as the operational backbone of Al Zubarah Investments, a single‑family office based in Qatar. Reporting to the Managing Director and Director of Investments, the role combines high‑level administrative support with full‑cycle bookkeeping and finance management, ensuring the office runs smoothly and confidentially.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day office operations, including facilities, supplies and vendor contracts.
• Manage calendars, travel arrangements and meeting logistics for senior leadership and the principal family.
• Prepare agendas, minutes and action‑item tracking for team and Investment Committee meetings.
• Maintain accurate financial records for all entities, recording income, expenses, transfers and capital transactions.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and produce management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash‑flow).
• Support year‑end financial statement preparation and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Monitor liquidity positions, flag funding needs and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Draft correspondence, handle inbound communications and provide family concierge services.

Required profile

• Solid foundation in accounting or finance, preferably with experience in a family office or investment environment.
• Exceptional organisational and judgement skills with a high degree of confidentiality.
• Strong interpersonal abilities to liaise with banks, regulators, lawyers, trustees and family members.
• Proactive, high‑autonomy mindset capable of managing multiple priorities.
