Chinese Language Teacher

About the role

The International School of Choueifat seeks a Chinese Language Teacher to deliver the SABIS® curriculum, support student achievement, and foster a positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Chinese language classes using provided lesson plans or develop plans based on pacing charts.
• Mark exams and assessments according to departmental schedules.
• Discuss student disciplinary and academic concerns with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department.
• Implement the SABIS® Point System to maintain an effective classroom atmosphere.
• Proctor examinations and ensure a properly managed test environment.
• Provide targeted support to low‑performing students to help them reach their potential.
• Assist with external exam preparation, reviewing past papers as scheduled.
• Participate in school duties such as supervising lunches, buses, crowd control, and other administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Proficiency in English.
• Minimum of one year teaching experience.
• Demonstrated accountability, professional behavior, and ethical conduct.
• Ability to deliver results, engage in continuous learning, and work effectively in a team.
• Must meet all local employment requirements, including certification, reference, and background checks.
