Civil Supervisor – Structural & Marine Maintenance

About the role

The Civil Supervisor will lead civil maintenance activities within a major industrial facility in Qatar, ensuring safety, quality and operational excellence. This position requires strong expertise in structural maintenance, concrete rehabilitation, marine structures and contractor management.

Key responsibilities

• Act as HSE champion, promoting safety culture, conducting safety walks, incident investigations and risk assessments.
• Provide direct onsite supervision of contractors and subcontractors performing civil maintenance works, monitoring productivity, quality and schedule adherence.
• Ensure all works comply with approved construction drawings, technical specifications and quality standards, reviewing work method statements and verifying inspection results.
• Monitor contractor performance, provide technical guidance, and coordinate with stakeholders to achieve timely completion.
• Supervise civil maintenance activities including concrete repair, structural maintenance of buildings and industrial facilities, and marine infrastructure such as jetties.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of civil maintenance experience in Oil & Gas, petrochemical, fertilizer or heavy industrial sectors.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory role managing maintenance or construction activities.
• Proven experience in concrete repair, structural maintenance and marine infrastructure maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of asset integrity and structural reliability principles.
