Commissioning Lead (Offshore ICSS)

About the role

The Commissioning Lead will oversee all pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities for the ICSS‑ESD discipline on offshore projects. The role ensures that systems and sub‑systems meet project specifications, coordinates closely with the EPC contractor, and drives progress against schedule milestones.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee contractors' Mechanical Completion (MC), Construction Start‑up Activities (CSA) and Ready For Start‑up (RFSU) progress.
• Ensure the System Completion database and related procedures are effective and up‑to‑date.
• Monitor the commissioning schedule with the contractor and align planning with project milestones.
• Organise weekly coordination meetings with the CTR counterpart and report progress to senior management.
• Participate in CTP kick‑off meetings, walk‑down certificates, punch‑list follow‑up, and clearance meetings.
• Review and validate CTR ITRs, check sheets, PTW and SIMOPS meetings.
• Support OESS during start‑up and verify completeness of EPC contractor’s completion dossiers.
• Capture and share lessons learned for inclusion in the project register.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of commissioning experience on large oil & gas projects, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or oversight role.
• Strong knowledge of completion certificate types and punch‑list categorisation.
• Proven decision‑making and prioritisation skills under pressure.
• Familiarity with construction, QA/QC and operations interfaces.
• Excellent organizational, reporting and communication abilities.
• Fluent English and solid understanding of HSE standards.
