Contract and Cost Engineer

About the role

The Contract and Cost Engineer will manage the full contract lifecycle for goods and services related to high‑value turnaround projects. The role ensures cost‑effective procurement while protecting company interests and supporting long‑term capital planning.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain an effective contract lifecycle for turnaround services and capital procurement.
• Coordinate with senior engineers, finance, commercial and supply‑chain teams to ensure accurate data in the turnaround management system.
• Review, evaluate and monitor contractor turnaround plans, procedures and performance.
• Support the development of the company’s long‑term Turnaround Future Capex Plan in collaboration with finance and other departments.
• Develop and maintain a cost database aligned with industry best practices.
• Assist the Sr. Contracts & Logistics Engineer in preparing statistical reports, updating control procedures and ensuring compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years (120 months) of experience in contract management, cost engineering or related fields.
• Proven experience with large, complex turnaround or capital‑procurement projects.
• Strong coordination skills with engineering, finance, and supply‑chain stakeholders.
• Ability to analyse scopes of work, select appropriate tendering methods and negotiate contracts.
