Cost Control Analyst – Finance & Planning

About the role

The Cost Control Analyst will manage accounting, allocation, and planning tasks for Qatargas operating and support groups. You will act as the first point of contact for finance and planning queries, ensuring accurate cost reporting and compliance with corporate policies.

Key responsibilities

• Guide cost centre owners on accruals, SAP cost object usage, and cost allocation principles, securing supporting documentation and processing journal entries in SAP.
• Prepare and reconcile accounting journals, produce cost reports, and manage material correction entries as needed.
• Develop and distribute planning templates, review cost plans, challenge assumptions, and input data into SAP.
• Support cost governance initiatives, benchmarking activities, and cost optimisation projects.
• Maintain compliance with company cost regulations, ensuring error‑free work and system integrity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Commerce.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience within a finance department.
• Demonstrated knowledge of accounting systems and financial recording/reporting tools.
