Cost Manager (MEP) – Data Centre

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced MEP Cost Manager to support the delivery of a major data centre project in Qatar. The role involves managing all cost‑related activities for mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) packages from pre‑contract through to final account settlement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed MEP cost estimates, budgets and cost plans throughout all project stages.
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure MEP designs are commercially viable and aligned with budget objectives.
• Manage procurement for MEP works, including tender documentation preparation, tender analysis, bid evaluation and contract recommendations.
• Provide cost control, financial reporting, forecasting and commercial advice during project delivery.
• Assess and manage variations, claims and change requests, delivering accurate valuations and cost impact assessments.
• Oversee contract administration, variations and final account settlement for MEP packages.

Required profile

• BSc degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• 5‑15 years of post‑graduate experience in MEP cost management on large‑scale, mission‑critical or data‑centre projects.
• Professional membership (e.g., MRICS) is an advantage.
• Proficient user of MS Office with advanced MS Excel skills.
