Cybersecurity Support Specialist – Defense Network Operations

About the role

Trace Systems is seeking a Cybersecurity Support Specialist to support the 160th Signal Brigade’s classified and unclassified information systems. The role is based in Kuwait and focuses on ensuring availability, integrity, confidentiality and non‑repudiation of network components.

Key responsibilities

• Review and compile vulnerability and configuration status reports for Automated Information Systems (AIS) and recommend corrective actions.
• Assess authorization requests for compliance with DoDI 8510.01 Risk Management Framework (RMF) and provide recommendations for government approval.
• Maintain documentation of requests, approvals, and monthly IA control validations in accordance with AR 25‑400‑2 and ARIMS.
• Prepare DISA connection authorization packages for Defense Switched Network (DSN) and Voice systems.
• Manage network architecture records, MPLS and Joint Regional Security Stacks (JRSS) revisions, and SNAP processes.
• Perform data entry and queries for ISSP, APMS, eMASS and ERS systems.
• Develop network diagrams, routing policies, and evaluate new equipment against DISA, NSA, NIAP and DoD standards.
• Track cybersecurity training, certifications and recertifications for brigade personnel using ACTCS.
• Produce weekly situational awareness reports for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Experience with DoD cybersecurity policies, RMF and DoDI 8510.01 compliance.
• Familiarity with AR 25‑400‑2, ARIMS, DISA, NSA and NIAP standards.
• Strong knowledge of MPLS, JRSS, network architecture and routing design.
• Ability to manage documentation in eMASS, APMS, ISSP and SNAP systems.
• Detail‑oriented with the capacity to produce accurate weekly reports.
