Deputy Project Director – Airport Development

About the role

Join AECOM’s dynamic project management team in Doha as Deputy Project Director, supporting the delivery of complex airport development and operational projects from concept to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Director in planning, organizing and executing airport projects of varying scope.
• Manage schedules, budgets and resource allocation to ensure optimal performance and cost control.
• Coordinate with government agencies, contractors, consultants and internal departments for seamless execution.
• Monitor progress, conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, safety standards and AECOM policies.
• Prepare and present detailed reports and performance metrics to senior leadership.
• Lead, mentor and resolve conflicts within the project team and among stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 18 years of project management experience, including at least 10 years in a senior or deputy director role.
• Proven experience managing airport development, cargo expansion or operational projects.
• Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and airport operations.
• Demonstrated expertise in budget management, financial forecasting and cost control.
