About the role

The Direct Tax Compliance Risk Expert leads the analysis of compliance risks related to direct taxes, using data‑driven and sector‑based methodologies. The role supports tax audits and compliance interventions by identifying non‑compliance patterns, estimating tax gaps, and providing actionable recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze direct tax compliance risks with statistical models, behavioral and sector‑based analytics to detect non‑compliance patterns.
• Assess international tax risks, including treaty abuse, transfer pricing, and cross‑border structures.
• Estimate tax gaps and evaluate their financial impact across sectors and taxpayer categories.
• Prepare periodic risk reports and develop risk‑based taxpayer selection lists for audits.
• Coordinate with IT to enhance analytical tools and improve risk‑assessment models.
• Collaborate with ministries, government entities, and international forums on tax compliance risk topics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Accounting or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• More than 16 years of experience in taxation, risk analysis, tax auditing or data analytics.
• Extensive knowledge of direct tax compliance risk assessment, tax gap estimation and risk‑based taxpayer selection.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills for internal and external collaboration.
