Director - Finance

About the role

The Director – Finance will lead the finance function of a leading real‑estate developer in Qatar. Reporting to senior management, the role is responsible for financial stability, compliance and strategic growth across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement business and financial strategies aligned with the company’s mission.
• Develop and maintain finance policies, procedures and internal control frameworks.
• Lead financial forecasting, modelling, budgeting and long‑term planning.
• Oversee accounting, treasury, tax, management and financial reporting, ensuring IFRS/GAAP compliance.
• Manage relationships with JV partners, equity calls, debt drawdowns, interest servicing and covenant monitoring.
• Prepare and present financial reports to the board and shareholders.
• Control payables, receivables, payroll and monitor project costs, capital expenditure and cash flow.
• Ensure tax compliance, regulatory filings and corporate governance standards.
• Implement ERP and financial systems to support project accounting and revenue management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration.
• Master’s degree and a professional qualification (CPA, CA, ACCA or CFA) – mandatory.
• 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in real‑estate or related sectors.
• Proven experience managing JV partnerships, debt facilities and equity financing.
