Director of Finance

About the role

The Director of Finance will provide strategic financial leadership for a large resort property, partnering with the Managing Director and department heads to enhance financial processes, visibility, and sustainability. This senior role combines day‑to‑day oversight with long‑term planning and analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Maintain strong internal controls and coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, ongoing forecasting, and development of financial models for operational and strategic decisions.
• Provide variance analysis, actionable insights, and support to department heads on budget performance.
• Partner with leadership on long‑range planning, capital investments, construction projects, and ROI analysis.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and liquidity to meet operational and capital needs.
• Supervise the Accounting Manager and finance team, fostering a collaborative and accountable finance function.

Required profile

• Minimum 5‑10 years of progressive experience in a Director of Finance or equivalent senior financial leadership role within a large resort or hospitality property in the Middle East.
• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
