Early Years Teacher

About the role

Nord Anglia Education is seeking a warm, creative, and dedicated Early Years Teacher to join Etqan Global Academy (EGA) in Doha. You will help build a play‑based, inquiry‑led learning environment for children aged 3‑6 within the IB PYP Early Years framework.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, play‑based and inquiry‑led learning experiences aligned with the IB PYP Early Years framework.
• Create and maintain a nurturing, safe, and stimulating classroom where all children feel valued.
• Assess and track children’s development using observations and portfolio evidence, informing next steps.
• Build strong partnerships with parents through regular communication.
• Collaborate with the Early Years team to plan, reflect on, and review units of inquiry.
• Promote the IB learner profile, international‑mindedness, and PYP attitudes.
• Support children’s wellbeing, independence, and social‑emotional development.
• Contribute to the wider school community, including CPD, events, and improvement activities.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification in Early Years, primary or early childhood education (PGCE, QTS, B.Ed or equivalent).
• Experience teaching 3‑6‑year‑olds, preferably in an IB or international school setting.
• Knowledge of the IB PYP Early Years framework or a comparable inquiry‑based curriculum.
• Strong understanding of child development theory and play‑based learning.
• Excellent communication skills and a nurturing approach with children and families.
• Commitment to inclusive practice, safeguarding, and child protection.
