Electrical Engineer – Pre‑Project Specialist

About the role

The Electrical Engineer will lead pre‑project activities for QAFCO’s industrial facilities, ensuring technical solutions are safe, reliable and cost‑effective. This role involves analysing problems, performing root‑cause analysis and delivering engineering calculations that meet company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize and monitor pre‑project tasks in line with company procedures and objectives.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and engineering calculations using approved software and standards.
• Produce high‑quality engineering deliverables, including safety and environmental studies.
• Coordinate with multiple trades, customers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Maintain and update engineering specifications, incorporating lessons learned and technological developments.
• Provide technical support to the Operations Division as required.
• Assist superiors with cost control and contribute to periodic reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical engineering within industrial or plant environments.
• Proven ability to lead pre‑project teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Experience with cost control and technical reporting.
