Electrical & Instrument Engineer (Project Execution/ Construction)

About the role

The Electrical & Instrument Engineer will supervise all instrument and electrical works on both online and shutdown projects, ensuring installations follow approved construction drawings and schedules. The role involves on‑site coordination with contractors, safety and quality monitoring, and preparation for pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee progress of all field and construction activities within the Instrument & Electrical discipline.
• Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with quality, HSE and schedule requirements.
• Conduct safety walks and quality surveillance, report findings and follow up corrective actions.
• Prepare and track pre‑commissioning and commissioning plans, including participation in pre‑startup safety reviews.
• Produce field progress reports, identify contractual non‑conformities and report KPIs.
• Ensure all work complies with QAFCO HSE standards and relevant authority regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrument, Electronic or Control Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the fertilizer, oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
• Proven project experience with field instrumentation, process control, safety shutdown systems and related electrical installations.
• Experience reviewing technical documents, preparing job safety analyses and method statements.
