Electrical Maintenance Technician

About the role

The main role of the Technician is to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, to assist his team, and to support improvement efforts in the department to increase performance. The Technician also reports any equipment faults to the Engineer, TO, or STO.

Key responsibilities

• Perform assigned preventive maintenance (PPM) correctly and on time.
• Carry out corrective tasks promptly.
• Maintain high quality of work.
• Assist subcontractors with their tasks.
• Report defects, breakdowns, damages, and other issues to the Fault Reporting Center or relevant engineers.
• Follow the duty roster and report spare‑part requirements and availability.
• Follow instructions from TO, STO, and Engineers.
• Take care of tools, test equipment, and other resources.
• Escalate lack of proper equipment or tools to the line manager.
• Report accidents, incidents, near‑misses, or health events to the line manager.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• ITI Certificate/Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of regulations such as OSHA, MSDS, NFPA, and BS.
• Problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and constraints.
• Teamwork.
