Electrical Technician

About the role

The Electrical Technician is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment, supporting the team, and contributing to departmental improvement efforts to boost performance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks accurately and within the assigned timeframes.
• Carry out corrective maintenance activities promptly, ensuring timely completion of repairs.
• Provide assistance to subcontractors to ensure they complete their assigned work safely and effectively.
• Report any defects, breakdowns, damages, or other issues to the Fault Reporting Center or to the Engineer, TO, or STO as required.

Required profile

• Hold an ITI Certificate/Diploma or an equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrate strong problem‑solving abilities to address technical issues.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines while working within defined constraints.
• Work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and subcontractors.

Required skills

• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and related compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), NFPA codes, and BS standards.
• Proficiency in using test tools and electrical testing equipment safely.
