Electrical Technician

About the role

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to perform maintenance and modification work on a wide range of electrical equipment in its oil & gas facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and modify HV/MV/LV power transformers, switch boards, cables, MCCs, motors and related control systems.
• Service programmable logic controllers (PLC), variable frequency drives (VFD), UPS systems, lighting, cathodic protection, hoists and flare electrical systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical problems, read single‑line diagrams and control schematics, and perform basic repairs on power circuits.
• Use testing and calibration instruments such as multimeters and insulation testers (Megger) safely, following LOTO and work‑permit procedures.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma (12+3 years) in an electrical trade.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in the oil & gas, petrochemical or fertilizer industry.
• Familiarity with hazardous chemicals and safety/environmental requirements in large‑scale industrial plants.
