Emergency Response Member

About the role

The Emergency Response Member will be the first line of defence for fire, rescue and chemical spill incidents at our Mesaieed site. You will respond to alarms, operate firefighting and rescue equipment, and ensure the site remains prepared for emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Answer fire alarms, emergency calls and ambulance requests promptly.
• Conduct firefighting, rescue operations and control chemical spills under the direction of the fire/safety officer.
• Inspect, test and maintain safety and firefighting equipment on a regular basis.
• Maintain communication with the emergency centre and document all incidents, inspections and findings.
• Keep stores, workshops and escape routes orderly to guarantee quick access to emergency gear.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement projects, training drills and fitness programmes.

Required profile

• Minimum high school education in a relevant field.
• At least 5 years of hands‑on experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, fertilizer or heavy‑manufacturing environments.
• Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities; able to work independently or within a team.
• Valid Qatar Light and Heavy Vehicle Driving Licences.

Required skills

• NFPA Firefighter I & II certification (or equivalent).
• Valid First Aid/CPR certification.
• HazMat Awareness and Operations certifications (preferred).
• Basic Rescue Training certification (preferred).
