Engineering Technician

About the role

The Engineering Technician will support Marriott International facilities in Doha by performing routine maintenance on property vehicles and tools, ensuring safety, reliability, and operational readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Perform minor routine maintenance on property vehicles, including checking oil, fluid levels, tire pressure, charging batteries, and replacing spark plugs.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, such as cleaning and lubrication.
• Maintain proper maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Keep daily logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activities, recording test results and equipment malfunctions.
• Follow all company safety and security policies, report hazards, and store flammable materials correctly.
• Communicate professionally, answer telephone calls, and prepare written documents accurately.
• Support team goals, develop positive working relationships, and respond to employee concerns.
• Perform physical tasks such as moving, lifting, pushing, and pulling objects up to 50 lb, and conduct visual inspections of tools and equipment.

Required profile

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree.
• At least 2 years of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to lift ≤50 lb, reach overhead, bend, twist, and stoop safely.
• Fine motor skills and hand‑eye coordination for manipulating tools and equipment.
• Commitment to follow safety training, certifications, and company policies.
