Engineering Technician

About the role

The Engineering Technician will support Marriott’s facilities by performing routine and preventative maintenance on property vehicles and related equipment. The role ensures safe, reliable operation of engineering trucks, shuttle vans, electric carts and tools, while maintaining accurate logs and inventory.

Key responsibilities

• Perform minor routine maintenance on property vehicles, including oil checks, fluid level inspections, tire pressure checks, battery charging, and spark plug replacement.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, such as cleaning, lubrication, and regular inspections.
• Manage maintenance inventory, requisition parts and supplies, and keep accurate daily logs of operations, safety activities, and equipment performance.
• Follow company safety and security policies, report hazards or incidents, complete required safety training, and handle flammable materials properly.
• Assist with moving, lifting, and positioning objects up to 50 lb and perform visual inspections to identify defects.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum two years of hands‑on experience in vehicle or equipment maintenance.
• No supervisory experience required; ability to work independently and follow procedures.
