Environmental Engineer

About the role

SGS is seeking an Environmental Engineer to conduct emission and air quality monitoring, ensure regulatory compliance, and support environmental management planning for industrial projects in Doha.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct stack emission monitoring and performance testing according to USEPA standard methods.
• Perform ambient and indoor air quality monitoring using real‑time and integrated sampling techniques.
• Execute groundwater sampling, manage chain‑of‑custody, and interpret analytical results.
• Prepare environmental compliance reports, monitoring reports, and technical documentation.
• Develop Construction and Operational Environmental Management Plans (CEMP/OEMP) aligned with project permits and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental or chemical engineering (5‑8 years experience required).
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Medically and physically capable of working in extreme climatic and physically demanding environments.
