Equipment Operator/Truck Driver

About the role

The Equipment Operator/Truck Driver is responsible for receiving, storing, and transporting USAF munitions while ensuring all assigned Munitions Material Handling Equipment (MMHE) meets serviceability and safety standards. The role supports both peacetime and combat contingencies, working on air, sea, and surface shipments.

Key responsibilities

• Observe and enforce USAF and Host Nation explosive safety, AFOSH, and security standards.
• Prepare, configure, and load munitions shipments for various transportation modes.
• Inspect, operate, and perform preventative maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, container handlers, and other MMHE.
• Conduct munitions inspections according to technical orders 11A-1-10 and 11A-1-60.
• Provide safety briefings and entry‑controller duties as required.
• Escort and inspect subcontractor vehicles and equipment supporting munitions movements.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of USAF Supply and Tech Order systems or ability to learn them.
• Proficiency with Windows OS and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Extensive knowledge of securing flat‑bed trailer loads and material handling equipment.
• Valid home‑country driver’s license and ability to obtain a host‑nation license.
• Current USDOT Class A commercial driver’s license (or equivalent).
