Estimator

About the role

The Estimator is responsible for preparing realistic, accurate, and competitive job estimates for quotations and tenders. The role involves timely handling of enquiries, using a proprietary estimation system, and coordinating with internal teams and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and review contract enquiries, develop pricing plans, and meet deadlines.
• Clarify scope with clients to ensure quote accuracy and manage the full tender process, including site visits and tender committee meetings.
• Send enquiries to the supply chain, select suitable suppliers, and negotiate best prices.
• Analyze supply chain quotes, raw material costs, and manufacturing rates; prepare tender analysis and presentations.
• Monitor tenders, attend client meetings, and review contract conditions, specifications, and bills of materials.
• Coordinate hand‑over between Estimating, Operational, and Commercial teams and apply Qatar market experience to diversify the supply chain.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in the fit‑out industry, preferably in Qatar.
• B.Tech, B.E. or relevant diploma.
• Strong knowledge of the full tender process and value engineering.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively in business English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• IT literacy and experience with tender and supply‑chain analysis.
