Event Sales Manager

About the role

A leading hospitality group in Qatar is looking for an Event Sales Manager to drive venue hire and catering sales, with a primary focus on MICE, corporate and social events. The role covers the full sales cycle, from lead generation to post-event follow-up, and works closely with the Event Coordination and Banqueting teams.

Key responsibilities

• Sales execution: turn leads into confirmed bookings for corporate and social functions
• Full-cycle management: client meetings, proposals, contract negotiations and CRM maintenance
• Collaborate with Event Coordination and Banqueting teams for smooth handover and event execution
• Research new business opportunities and help set pricing and booking policies
• Promote venue and catering offerings at trade shows, networking events and conferences
• Monitor sales performance against targets and report regularly to senior management
• Maintain accurate client databases using Venue Management Systems
• Support the Head of Event Sales in training junior staff

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality or a related field
• At least 6 years in event sales, ideally in luxury hospitality or major convention centres
• Proven track record in business development and high-level client relationships
• Strong negotiation, influencing and problem-solving skills; strategic and proactive mindset
